Willowfield School
Willowfield School is a six form entry, mixed gender secondary school in Walthamstow, East London with 600 students on roll. It is a neighbourhood 11-16 comprehensive school that admits 180 girls and boys to Year 7 each year. The current headteacher is John Hemingway, who has been given the role after the departure of his predecessor Eve Wilson, who retired after 15 years with the school. The school has recently been rebuilt on Blackhorse Road to accommodate more children. The school's motto is 'Focusing on Learning and Celebrating Achievement'〔http://www.willowfield-school.net/〕 which reflects on the importance of rewarding students for good work. In 2009, the DCSF recognised the school as one of the top 200 most improved schools in the UK.
